The mobile model

A rolling workshop, not a retail counter

A mobile locksmith operates from a service vehicle instead of a retail storefront. The truck functions as a rolling workshop, carrying key-cutting machines, pinning kits, programming tools, and hundreds of lock components. This model lets the locksmith perform work exactly where the lock lives: your front door, your office suite, or your vehicle in a parking lot.

For Calgary residents, choosing a mobile locksmith service near me means the technician arrives on-site ready to diagnose, repair, rekey, or replace locks without a second appointment. Alberta Lock built its entire operation around this model because it delivers faster results at lower overhead, and those savings pass directly to you.

Inventory ready for 90% of jobs

  • Key-cutting machines for residential, commercial, and high-security blanks
  • Pin kits and cylinder components from Schlage, Kwikset, and Weiser
  • Automotive programming tools for transponder keys and proximity fobs
  • Deadbolt and knob inventory in popular finishes for immediate installation
  • Commercial-grade hardware including panic bars, closers, and lever sets
  • Bypass and manipulation tools authorized under Criminal Code s.351 and s.353

Drew restocks the truck after every shift, so availability stays consistent regardless of whether your call comes on a Monday morning or a Saturday afternoon. About 90 percent of jobs finish on the first visit.

How it works

Four steps, no surprises

  1. You call or text Drew directly. Describe the issue (lockout, rekey, new install, broken key) and share your Calgary-area address.
  2. Drew confirms availability and provides a quote range. You get a realistic time window and a price estimate before any truck rolls.
  3. The service vehicle arrives on-site. Drew assesses the hardware, confirms the final price, and begins work only after you approve.
  4. Work completes on the spot. Most residential and automotive jobs wrap up within 30 to 60 minutes.

No surprises, no hidden trip fees, no pressure to buy services you don't need.

Why mobile beats storefront

For most jobs, mobile wins

Think about the last time you needed a locksmith. Were you standing at a shop counter, or were you standing in front of a locked door? The answer explains why mobile service wins for the majority of locksmith situations.

  • Locks stay where they are. No removing, driving, and reinstalling.
  • Lower overhead, lower prices. No retail rent. You benefit at the invoice.
  • Faster resolution. One trip handles diagnosis and repair.
  • Accurate assessment. Seeing the door, frame, and surrounding hardware in context lets Drew recommend the right solution the first time.

The only scenario where a storefront adds value involves safe work or specialty machining that demands bench-mounted equipment.

Worked with Drew to rekey our new-to-us home, ran into some trouble with a bad cylinder and despite a small wait, he managed to get everything sorted out and in clean working order. I would vouch for him and recommend him to others for his transparent pricing and commendable workmanship. Thanks for taking care of our family Drew!

Called Drew late afternoon and he was able to come over on his way home to have a look at fixing the mechanism on my antique door handle assembly. Drew was not familiar with the style of the handle but through troubleshooting and persistence, he was able to resolve the issue saving me several hundreds of dollars in a new handle mechanism. Works great now. I would definitely call them again and recommend his services to family and friends.

A silly whoops, left the keys in the car. But this beauty of a man came in decent time, even when delayed he called us to let us know. When he arrived it couldn't have taken more than five minutes. Absolutely no damage to the car, and he was polite the whole time. Take it from a girl who's used to scams and shady people, if you're panicking and don't know what to do, use this company. Any car locksmith is expensive, but this one is reasonable. Again, thank you.

I highly recommend Alberta Lock! Drew was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. All the other places I called expected me to be an expert on security and locks. They gave me so much overwhelming information and asked me a lot of questions. But when I called Drew and explained what I was looking for, he guided me to the right solutions really quickly and easily. He was available when we needed him, provided updates on arrival time and throughout the job, and got the work done quickly and with great quality. Drew was also very polite and professional, and I would definitely hire him again!
